Lex and her Boy

It seems like Hennessy has been a part of our family so much longer than 2 years.  July of 2009, Lex chose Henny from a whole 3 horses that we went to see.  Once she rode him, she didn't want to look any further.

Day we brought him home.

One of the first rides at Serenity Farms.

It was sooo cold - but Lex was all smiles at the end of her ride.

I believe Hennessy loves his girl as much as she loves him.

Tomorrow evening, we will say our good-byes.

I know many, many more horses will come and go in Lex's life.  She has so much ahead of her.
But this guy...will forever be in her heart.

Oh great, Now I am crying in my office. The greatest gift we can give is love, and sometimes love means allowing someone to leave us. Lots of caring thoughts for you guys today.

I'm so sorry for you both. :'( I'm glad they had good times together, and hope for the best in the future.

What a beautiful tribute post to her relationship, made me tear up. You are right she will NEVER forget Henny. I to this day remember like it was yesterday those few saints of horses that brought me from loving horses to living for horses. I can tell that Hennessey to her was one of those horses that she won't even realize the impact he made on her for years to come. I am sorry for her pain.

I hope it all goes smoothly and as pain free for everyone as is possible, especially your daughter.

I'm so sorry. He was beautiful and sounds like the perfect partner for your daughter. It's so hard to let them go, but sometimes it's the best thing to do.

I agree the silhouette is amazing.
