My video finally loaded! So here is our Intro Test B from last Saturday at Octoberfest in Edinburgh. We obviously have a long way to go to reach my goal - I am aiming for a 65% or better next Spring on this test. We are Green on Green...so keep that in mind if you watch this!

Thanks for posting that. Your posture is great, and you both looked great. Calm and easy going test. Good for you.
65% - here you come!!
Thanks Emme! From one mom to another that is high praise :)
I have left an award for you on my blog. :)
That is one pretty mare you have there.
Also, I have left an award for you on my blog. :)
You guys did so great! Good grief it was really windy. She's such a good little mare. :)
I don't want you to think I'm criticizing, just want to offer a suggestion since you can't take lessons right now. Working toward the goal of getting her into a little bit of a frame like the judge recommended, you obviously know forward is key. Something else that will help you is getting you elbows next to your side instead of out in front of you. That helps give her a contact to reach for. My instructor drilled into my head "heavy elbows, light hands". It helps a lot. If you have trouble getting a "feel" for it you can put a whip in front of your elbows and behind you back. That's a little exaggerated obviously, but my instructor had to do it for me so that I could feel what she was talking about. Just remember you still have to open and close your elbows as you post, just not reaching forward because that throws away the contact. :)
You're doing such a fantastic job! When you start lessons you both are going to make progress so fast. Keep up the great work!
Oh and forgot to mention on your last post, but that must have been so exciting to meet fellow bloggers. So cool!
